Your February Txtlit competition theme is "The Contract".

Contracts are a part of our everyday lives. You'll have a contract for your mobile phone perhaps or your agreement for a loan from the bank will include some form of contract. A marriage is a form of contract and then of course there is the contract to kill someone, so often favoured by the makers of films about the Mafia or other organised crime syndicates. Contracts can be written or verbal. Giving your word to complete a certain task could be considered a contract.

You could even make a contract with yourself to enter this month's Txtlit competition.

To enter the competition write a story with a clear link to the theme of "The Contract" in 160 characters or less including spaces and punctuation. Send your story as a text message from a UK mobile phone to our new number 07537 432 432. You have until midnight on the 28th February 2018 to enter.
You will receive a message confirming your entry. You will be charged for one standard text message by your network operator.  If you have a Pay As You Go mobile phone account, you must make sure you have enough credit to cover the cost of a single text message otherwise your entry will not be processed.

Happy writing and Good luck.
